Why are these companys allowed to hike gas prices and reap profits that aren't needed?? nw ga went into panic ?

gas lines last night were ridiculous! Some stores even ran out while others limited 10 gal only. Reality is gas may go up only .50 cents vs the 1.50 or more everyone was led to believe
