How can i get him to like me?!?

so me & this guy havent been talking for long, but i've known him for a while, and we talked a bit last year, like at the end of the school year. kinda drifted over the summer but now we're talking again & he's really cute, sweet, funny, tall & smart. he's pretty much everything i want. everytime he texts/IMs me i get nervous that we wont have anything to talk about. i hate that with guys i like..really akward. we had a pretty good convo last night, but what are some things we can talk about today? i reallly wanna go out with him, any tips are appreciated.
