I'm making a spicy cheese dip for a party. How do I keep it warm?

I want to be able to keep the cheese dip warm and melty during the party with out paying it too much attention. It there any sort of mini appliance that I can store it in that will keep it warm w/out burning it? How about a small crock pot on a low setting? I'm hoping to be able to plug it in and then forget about it while I watch the game. Any suggestions?
